Course Overview

This half day course is designed to provide employees the knowledge of what to do in the event of a fire or emergency in their workplace and implement the necessary preventative measures to minimise the risk of fires occurring.

During this course you will learn:

  • The principles of fire risk control and what to do in the event of an emergency
  • Prevention measures that can be taken to minimise fire risks
  • Effective fire management in the workplace

Topics covered include:

  • Basic fire safety and what to do in the event of an emergency 
  • The main causes of fires in the workplace
  • Duties and responsibilities in relation to fire safety at work
  • Action to be taken in the event of a fire in the workplace, including methods of raising the alarm and contacting the emergency services
  • Active and passive fire risk control measures

Certificate

Participants will be awarded with a Qualsafe accredited Level 1 Certificate in Fire Safety upon successful completion of this course.
