Understanding Brain Injury Training
Headway - the brain injury association
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) can affect any aspect of someone's functioning. This interactive workshop will give participants a solid foundation knowledge of brain injury and its effects on the survivor and their carers/family. It will look at normal anatomy and physiology of the brain in a simple, clear, easy to understand way to allow participants to understand some of the possible consequences when these structures are injured. It not only goes through mechanisms, classifications and causes of brain injury but enables the participants to work more effectively with survivors by developing strategies to enable them to work effectively with people who have a brain injury.
As this is a FREE training course, places are limited. Please contact Kelly Sheppard to book a place by telephoning 07557 732807 or email [email protected]
