Join in an amazing celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Russian Speaking Countries.

The Russian Speaking Community of NI is hosting Multicultural Russian Fair 2017 Festival on 21 May 2017 in the Waterfront Hall. This will be the biggest multicultural event organised by our Community Group in Belfast aimed at representing the culture of Russian Speaking countries.

Russian national heritage is one of the most distinctive and richest and is famous for many worldwide-recognised cultural icons such as brilliant writers Chekhov, Dostoevskiy and Tolstoy, marvellous composers Chaykovskiy and Rachmaninov, astonishing ballet dancers Maya Plisetskaya and Anna Pavlova, the symbols of Russian ballet excellence. Bright traditional clothes, outstanding music and folk dance along with the elegant tea ceremonies, wooden dolls always attracts an attention from people all over the world. The aims of our community are to create a positive image of Russian speaking countries currently represented within NI and ensure our values and traditions are maintained for future generations. 

The event will present a very comprehensive program and will be open for visitors from 12:00 to 16:00.

Guests will drive into a traditional atmospheric Russian fair and join in an amazing celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Russian Speaking Countries. They will experience the splendour of the traditional music and folk dance, try Russian traditional art and craft workshops, visit the exhibition displaying Slavic ceremonial dolls, ethnic, and multicultural displays, Russian language taster session and much more!
