Mother's Day Walk for Action Cancer

Walk with her, walk to remember her.

The Action Cancer Mother’s Day Walk, proudly supported by Avondale Foods, will take place on Saturday 26th March within the beautiful surrounds of Lurgan Park and takes in one full circuit of the park. It is open to anyone who would like to get together with family members ahead of Mothering Sunday and is also an opportunity for those families to come together in a tranquil, peaceful environment and walk in memory of the mums who are no longer with them.

Registration is now open at a cost of £10 per adult (children under 16 are free). The first 80 people to register will enjoy refreshments at Brownlow House after the walk – these places are strictly limited. 

The Mother’s Day Walk is a fundraiser and we are asking those people participating to encourage friends, family and colleagues to sponsor their walk to help raise funds either through sponsorship or if you want to host your own fundraising event ahead of the walk then Action Cancer will support you all of the way with that.

All monies raised will go towards helping Action Cancer continue to offer its many services some of which take place locally through visits from Big Bus visits to Lurgan and the surrounding area and the complementary therapy services for children and adults affected by cancer that take place in Zion House in the town.
