Recovery College students include service users, families, friends, carers, staff and those with an interest in wellbeing and mental health. A peer educator with lived experience of mental health and a staff educator with knowledge of the subject area facilitate the workshops. The Belfast Recovery College welcomes everyone to attend our free wellbeing and mental health education and learning programmes. There are a range of courses open to the community of Belfast. All you have to do is enrol!

If you’ve heard the term Personality Disorder from a Doctor, Psychiatrist or

Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) you might be left wondering what it actually

means. This workshop is aimed at helping service users, professionals and carers

understand what is meant by ’personality disorder’. We will look at some of the myths

and misconceptions we might have as well as increasing awareness of the struggles

of living with a personality disorder. We also want to give people a chance to learn

about some of the treatment options for people who have a diagnosis and how to

help someone you know who tells you they are living with a personality disorder.
