The Campaign for a Fair Society was launched in February 2011 and recently published its 2012 Manifesto at the House of Lords.Following the launch of the manifesto the meeting will establish the Campaign’s Northern Ireland
Steering Group.
The Campaign for a Fair Society was launched in February 2011 and recently published its 2012 Manifesto at the House of Lords.Following the launch of the manifesto the meeting will establish the Campaign’s Northern Ireland Steering Group.
The manifesto:
says that the government’s cuts are unfair –they target disabled people and those living in poverty
explains how the cuts are inefficient – they will create more crises and new costs
shows how the government could do things differently
makes eight proposals for a fairer society.
The Campaign has steering groups and over 1500 members in Scotland and England. It invites interested organisations and individuals to an open meeting to launch the Northern Ireland Steering Group.
