iMix Music - Summer Camp

FOR THE MUSIC MAKERS OF TOMORROW 

Introducing our first music focused summer camp for teenagers 

Over 5 days in our newly equipped Tech Studio, our professional facilitators will show you how to jam with digital music, make beats and record sounds and voices. Participants will learn to mix and make up something original using music industry standard equipment and software. This short course will introduce the ins-and-outs of DJing and music production using mixers, Novation pads, and apps such as LaunchPad, Djay and Auxy. The course will include a trip out and will finish with a live-mix performance to end the week a high note!

This programme will be led by two experienced facilitators and industry professionals; 
 
Thomas is a qualified youth worker and music tutor who has been making and producing since he was but a young person himself! Since then, he has clocked up over 15 years extensive experience within the music industry, establishing his own club night under the alias of Dialogue. He has played in venues throughout Greater Belfast and the UK, including Derry/Londonderry, Manchester, Leeds, and London. 

Darren has been DJing for over 20 years, in some of the leading venues in Belfast including The Limelight, Laverys & The Empire. While also doing some opening & closing DJ sets for major Touring artists including Green Day, Gerry Cinnamon, and many more. He’s a staff member at WheelWorks and has done many youth-based music workshops mixing and creating tunes to help build confidence and skills.
