Join us for an in-depth workshop exploring the role of social enterprise and nonprofits in developing the Island Economy.
This workshop is part of a series hosted by iCommunity, a joint project of NICVA and The Wheel, which is bringing together nonprofits and social enterprises in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to learn from shared experiences.
There are new opportunities to develop the island economy, increasing linkages between business and markets in both jurisdictions.
- How can we ensure that communities benefit from these opportunities?
- What can we do the level the playing field for all communities?
- Do social enterprises hold a part of the solution?
- What other approaches, such as community wealth building, community ownership or ensuring social and environmental community benefit in tendering processes, could be developed to tie economic benefits to social and environmental considerations?
