Health in Mind - Provoking Thought Workshop

The practical 'Thought Provoking' workshop led by Gary Kane of Action Mental Health will use a range of active learning techniques to explore mental health and to support participants to develop positive coping strategies.
The workshop runs from 10am-12.30 and covers the following:
- Understanding of mental health/ill health
- Recognising mental distress – key conditions, signs and symptoms
- Exploring attitudes and beliefs about mental health
- Stress – origins and effects
- Exploring a range of coping strategies
- Sources of help and support
Health in Mind is a partnership project funded by the Big Lottery Live and Learn Fund. Led by Libraries NI it brings together 4 leading mental health charities, Action Mental Health, MindWise, CAUSE and Aware Defeat Depression.
