Course Outline
This course is designed for parents, guardians and casual childminders who care for babies and children of all ages who wish to be provided with the essentials of paediatric first aid to cover common risks for babies and young children.

Course Content
- Dealing with emergencies
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Dealing with choking
- Dealing with shock
- Dealing with bleeding wounds.
- Dealing with chronic medical conditions and sudden illness
- Dealing with suspected fracture and dislocation
- Dealing with head, neck and back injuries
- Dealing with burns and scalds
- Other relevant health conditions may be covered (Time dependent)
Please Note: Any of Health Matters (Health & Safety) Ltd First Aid nurse specialists can put particular emphasis or cover additional content if required by the parents and / or guardians attending.

Please Note: We not only provide training from our centres in both Newry and Belfast but for groups we can travel to you anywhere within Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Great Britain.
