This seminar focuses on the skills and priorities of digital fundraising

This workshop kindly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund - Awards for All programme will be delivered by Howard Lake.

In the past two years fundraisers and supporters have embraced digital tools like never before. So, in the first half of 2022, what should fundraisers focus on? Join UK Fundraising's Howard Lake for a practical guide to how to make the most of digital.

While some charities have had their most successful fundraising year to date, many others are still facing challenging times. So we'll assume limited budgets, tired fundraisers, difficulties recruiting for fundraising vacancies, and supporters who are facing an economic squeeze the like of which many have not experienced in their lifetime.

The 90 minute session will look at which channel or channels to focus on, making the most of what you've got (especially your website), inspiring supporters by showing the difference you and they make, and getting to understand your donors better.

We'll also look at the opportunities that are now presented to charities and fundraisers in a world in which 'digital' is such a given that we might not even need the word for much longer.

Howard Lake is a digital fundraising entrepreneur. He publishes UK Fundraising (fundraising.co.uk), the news and community site for professional charity fundraisers, having worked as a fundraiser at Oxfam, Afghanaid and Amnesty International UK. He co-founded habitual learning and recruitment service Utopy, created the Fundraising Camp series, chairs the CIOF Fundraising Awards judging panel, and has been exploring growing giving on a massive scale.
