Designing a Culture of Lifelong Learning

Forum for Adult Learning NI (FALNI)

Forum for Adult Learning NI (FALNI)

This is a free event
Sharing and generating ideas to develop a culture of lifelong learning for Northern Ireland

The Forum has taken the idea of creating a culture of lifelong learning from the initial OECD report supporting the new Skills Strategy and made this the theme for the year. We're delighted that DfE propose a lifelong learning action plan and project and look forward to contributing to these.

Over the last few months members of the Forum from across all sectors have been exploring different building blocks towards creating a culture of lifelong learning. They have looked at creating a vision, at engaging adults, building effective collaboration and resourcing these ideas.

This webinar will present the thoughts of these four working groups and engage participants in further exploration of the issues. Afterwards a report will be prepared to stimulate still further exploration and engage other interest groups. We want this to be an exciting, dynamic project carrying us forward into 2022 and beyond.

We will be joined on the day by two great supporters of the Forum - Niamh O'Reilly (CEO of AONTAS) and Stephen Evans (CEO of Learning and Work Institute), who will share their own thoughts on the day's theme.

Please come and join us as it is your ideas and energy that will drive things forward. Let's work together to create a society where adult learners have the opportunities and support that they deserve.
