The event will offer up-to-date information on the key welfare changes and will explore the impact on your organisation, tenants and wider communities. Sessions include:
- An overview of the key changes to the welfare system, including the implementation of the Social Sector Size Criteria and Universal Credit and how local mitigations will reduce the impact of these;
- The key changes to Housing Benefit and what these will mean for tenants and landlords;
- The impacts and response to the implementation of Welfare Reform in Wales;
- How do housing associations balance their social purpose with commercial realities when responding to welfare reform;
- How does housing affect work incentives for people in poverty;
