As a first step, the University is offering experienced community sector practitioners and activists the opportunity to enrol on a short course:
12 Week Course - Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)
Friday 10:15 – 1:15pm
Start Date: 3rd February
Venue: Room MB104, Magee Campus, University of Ulster.
Cost: £233
This course provides you with:
- An understanding of the underpinning principles and core values of community development work;
- Skills in critical reflection and reflective practice;
- The opportunity to link theory to practice
Further Guidance on building a portfolio of experience-based learning, leading to direct entry into the second year of the BSc Hons Community at Jordanstown is available. (Portfolio support and accreditation costs £200).
