Are you the Missing Piece of our Puzzle?

Do you love working with people? Especially those who are over 50? Then this could be the job for you. We’re looking for someone with the ability to deliver resilience interventions that enhance wellbeing. Based with Business in the Community, this person will work on the Drink Wise, Age Well project*, to deliver community workshops, community/social engagement and social and skills development activities for the 50+ age group. Activities will include coping strategies, social networks and more.

A consortium led by Addaction was successful in its application to the Big Lottery Fund’s Rethink Good Health Programme to run a UK-wide Drink Wise, Age Well programme. The programme aims to influence and inform policy and practice in preventing alcohol misuse amongst older people, specifically those aged 50 and over. The consortium is delivering a comprehensive programme of prevention, policy, resilience and intervention across 5 demonstration areas. Addiction NI is leading the programme delivery in WHSCT area in partnership with ARC Healthy Living Centre, Brandywell and Bogside Health Forum Drink Think project, Business in the Community, Chambre PR and Queen’s University Public Health Centre.
