Brain Injury Matters

Volunteers sought for "The Links Programme" - A Friendship and Peer Relationship Programme for Adults with ABI

Brain Injury Matters are seeking volunteers to support The Links Programme.

The "Links Programme" will offer a friendship and peer relationship programme to adults living with brain injury.  The programme aims to promote personal growth and empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives.

Becoming a Links Programme volunteer will involve meeting and befriending adult survivors of brain injury on a one-to-one basis and/or in small groups, helping them to relearn the social skills needed to make new friends and regain their social lives.  All activities are intended to improve social skills, leading to increased confidence and self-esteem, and the ability to form new relationships.

The befriending meetings will take place in your own area as you will be matched based on your geographical area and shared interests.
