Volunteer Programme Administrator (Maternity Cover)

The role will have responsibility for the administration, development, promotion and maintenance of a coordinated, cohesive, efficient volunteer programme, to include marketing, recruitment, ongoing Centre support and alumni engagement.

Essential Criteria

  1. Proven track record, of at least two years’ experience of delivering effective volunteer coordination and administration.
  1. Previous relevant experience of recruitment and selection planning and procedures.
  1. Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective external partners.
  1. Demonstrable experience in managing youth and adult volunteers.
  1. Demonstrable experience in building, controlling and managing a budget.
  1. Demonstrable experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes.
  1. Knowledge of the law and policy landscape of volunteering in the UK.
  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high level of IT competence including use of social media platforms.
  1. Ability to work, both independently and as part of a team, with high-level organisational skills to successfully prioritise work.
  1. Demonstrable experience of flexible working within a demanding environment.
  1. Current full driving licence (Valid for use in the UK) and access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post.
  1. Satisfactory pre-employment check which will be conducted via Access NI (Corrymeela will conduct this prior to appointment).
  1. Legal status to work within the EEA.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Knowledge of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) sponsorship management systems and procedures.
  2. Third level qualification or equivalent.
  3. Qualification linked to volunteering or the voluntary sector.
  4. Previous experience of working in a residential centre and community living.
