DART Partnership

Volunteer Minibus & Social Drivers urgently required

Can you help us 'Make the Community Mobile'?

DART are the community transport provider in the Banbridge & Craigavon area and we rely on volunteers to help us deliver our services.

The services you could help us deliver are individual door-to-door transport and group travel.

Volunteer drivers can expect to drive either DART vehicles or their own private car. Most journeys are local but some can be further afield.

As a volunteer driver, you can give as much or as little time as you like. Some volunteers do several journeys a week, others help out as and when they can. Offering a minimum of one day a week, for example, could make a real impact on the lives of local people.

You will receive an HMRC mileage allowance and in some instances you will be reimbursed for meals and refreshments on long journeys.

In addition, you will freely receive a range of nationally accredited MIDAS training programmes to add to your C.V.

Our drivers find it an enjoyable and a rewarding way to spend their free time, as they know it makes a significant difference to the lives of others.

So if you enjoy driving, have some spare time and wish to make a real difference to the lives of others in your local community, you are just the person we are looking for.

Please contact the DART office for further details of our volunteering opportunities – telephone 028 3831 7810 and ask for Kerry
