Paid internship opportunity for a young person aged 16-24 years

Trainee Project Assistant

Paid Internship Opportunity for Young Person aged 16-24 years

Belfast-based, part time

“This experience has given me extraordinary opportunities which I never thought I would have had” (Cara Dixon, First Intern with the LINKS Programme)

Do you want to help make things better for young people like yourself?

This might be the chance you have been waiting for!

What’s this about?

NCB is a children’s charity.  We have been given money by the Big Lottery Fund to support other organisations who work with children and young people under the Empowering Young People Programme.  We do this through our ‘LINKS programme’ and we want to offer a part-time paid internship opportunity to a young person to join our team.

What is an internship?

An internship is a period of work experience that lasts for a limited period for people who are trying to gain relevant workplace skills and experience.

Who can apply?

Any young person who is:

  • Aged 16-24 years
  • Interested in getting some valuable work experience in a children’s charity
  • Willing to work 14 hours/week for 6 months

How do I apply?

You need to fill in a short application form to tell us a bit about yourself.  You can get the form and more information about the internship by visiting our website:

https://www.ncb.org.uk/about-us/work-us/current-vacancies/1731-trainee-project-assistant-internship

or email Owen Whitford: [email protected]

Please quote job title and reference number. CVs are not accepted.

We need to receive your completed application before 9am on Wednesday 22 November 2017.

A group interview and exercise will take place during the week beginning 27 November 2017.  Those who are successful at group stage will be invited to interview during week beginning 11 December 2017.

Given the aim of the EYP Programme within the Big Lottery Fund, applications are particularly welcome from those who have faced particular challenges in their lives.
