This is a fixed-term part-time position (2017-21) based in Derry~Londonderry for our Peace IV project, The Third Space, delivered in partnership with Extern. Please email [email protected] for an application pack.

The Third Space is a new and innovative programme merging creative activities with the Interventative Relationship Model to deliver high impact and transformative engagement with 800 young people who are marginalized and disadvantaged from Belfast, Derry-Londonderry, Donegal, Cavan and Fermanagh.

This programme aims to

  • Nurture and develop personal and civic capacity among young people who struggle to engage with their community and wider society

  • Contribute to lower levels of community divisions through positive personal development, purposeful learning and interaction.

The Third Space utilizes the existing infrastructure within Extern as well as Community and Youth Centres, healthcare settings and other local venues to deliver a fully accessible, customised programme of activities tailored to meet the needs of all participants.

Third Space– Visual Artist Info Graphics will work within The Third Space Creative team liaising with the different subject matter experts delivering the programme. successful candidate will have well developed communication skills and be an excellent team player and will demonstrate the skills to work confidently with a wide range of colleagues.

The programme has been designed and supports an OCN Level 1 in Personal Development.

The focus of the successful candidate will be to ensure the programme is delivered and the OCN framework used as a guide to addressing all relevant subject matter using this creative output.

The Third Space Visual Artist Info Graphics will work as part of a team of creative project workers delivering across multiple sites. Within this context he/she will be expected to work closely with the management team and on their own initiative
