The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team and will work on the rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.

The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

As part of the Living Options services, the Team Leader will enable clients who have Brain Injuries / physical disabilities and associated conditions, to pursue a valued lifestyle by supporting them with personal care as well as with social, emotional, spiritual and daily activity needs.

 

The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team and will work on the  rota on an as required basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.

 

Hours:                 30 – 35 hours weekly         

Contract:           Permanent

Location:           Meadowvale Court- Living Options services in Lisburn

Salary:                3 point scale starting at £18,836 per annum pro rata ( equivalent to £9.79 per hour) plus                                 sleep in expenses if required

 

Essential Criteria:                  

  • Numerate and literate with ability to set up and maintain accurate records, handle clients finances, and compile reports.   
  • NVQ 3 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent or willing to attain a Level 3 QCF qualification.
  • Demonstrable evidence of 1 years experience working with people in a care/ support capacity within the last 2 years.
  • Two years’ previous experience in a human services setting providing support/care.
  • Experience of working in partnership with service users, parents, health care professionals, carers, advocates and other agencies
  • Good working knowledge of IT, specifically Microsoft Word & Outlook.

 

 

Desirable Criteria:                 

  • Recognised qualification e.g. nursing / social work
  • QCF5 Health & Social Care
  • Experience of working in a Supported Living environment
  • Experience of supervising staff and co-ordinating provision of support and personal care
  • Can demonstrate previous experience of working in a Supported Living context
