The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising a team of volunteers. The Shop Manager will manage budgets while maintaining statistical and financial records. The Shop Manager will be responsible for dealing with customer queries and complaints as well as overseeing product pricing and stock sourcing through donations while maximising profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating volunteers to do so. The Shop Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, preparing promotional materials and displays and liaising with Head Office.

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrable experience of retail management to include:
  1. Budget and sales analysis
  2. Product knowledge and trend awareness
  3. Merchandising

• Experience of staff management and making teams work
• Communication and networking both internally and external to the business

• Commercial ability and product knowledge

• Results driven
