 Victoria Housing Estates (VHE), a housing charity based in Holywood, is seeking a Rent Officer on a temporary basis to deal with residents’ issues sensitively and dealing effectively with all sections of the community. You will be part of a team that is driving VHE forward during a time of change, strengthening its position within Northern Ireland.

Due to a recent restructure, and under the leadership of a new Board of Trustees, this new position represents an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about customer service and has experience of working within a social housing environment.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic professional with a high degree of initiative who has the ability to deal effectively with challenging customer situations both on the phone and face to face.

The successful applicant will be part of a small Housing team and will be responsible for maximising income and eliminating debt owed to VHE, whilst protecting vulnerable clients. They will also provide effective and efficient casework on tenancies across the portfolio and undertake ongoing account monitoring, data analysis, inputting and updating for VHE

In addition, they will be responsible for prioritising workload to identify and focus on tenants to reduce the level of debt owed to VHE

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate your experience of working within a social housing environment, dealing sensitively and effectively with all sections of the community, maintaining accurate records, producing reports and understanding financial control principles and procedures
