The Rink Sports Arena & Multipurpose Centre is a not for profit social enterprise business. It is operated by the charity Powered By Sport. The facility is a 16,000sq foot complex which contains a 41m x 18m roller rink/multisport hall, Minor hall, changing rooms, toilets and party room/conference room facilities. Our main income streams include: Public skating, Birthday Parties, Youth Groups, Indoor Sports, Community programmes delivery, Corporate events plus more.

JOB Location

The full time role is based at The Rink Sports Arena 7 Derryneskan Road Portadown BT62 1UH Duties & Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the effective day to day operational management of the facility, including bookings, stock checking & ordering, staff rota, facility maintenance & cleaning, customer service, health & safety, HR, cash management.  You will also have responsibility for overseeing that all operational policies & procedures are implemented properly, and crucially will be responsible for achieving profit growth targets and budgeting as set out in quarterly KPI’s.   You will have responsibility for ensuring the facility is prepared for use in accordance with the planned activities and all areas maintained to the highest standard for health & safety, cleanliness, security and operational effectiveness. You will provide a diverse pool of casual staff with support and guidance on a daily basis ensuring the customer experience & welfare are their top priority.

Context of the Role

The Operation manager role will report directly to the BOD. You will, however, have a close relationship with the charity CEO who will work closely with you in a number of areas to support growth targets.   You’ll generally work 40 hours per week, but longer hours may be required on occasion to meet project deadlines or to cover emergencies. (Extra hours will be added to TOIL) Flexibility for morning, afternoon & evening time work is required. (As Operations manager you will be responsible for assigning your weekly rota along with all other staff.) Saturday, Sunday & Bank holiday work is essential. This role involves periods of lone work.
