Our vision is that by 2020 people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers will have realistic expectations of having fair and consistent access to the sort of services and support that they themselves have identified as being fundamental to being and staying “in control” with Parkinson’s.
Working together locally, volunteers and staff will be responsible for ensuring that this vision becomes a reality.
Working together with other volunteers and staff, you will:
• Support the Area Development Manager to consider what support and activities are provided in a local area, identify gaps and evaluate options;
• Make decisions about the best ways of increasing access to support and activities;
• Monitor the implementation and success of these decisions;
• Support the communication of these decisions to volunteers and service users within a local area.
What you could get out of volunteering - this role will give you the opportunity to:
- use your experience to bring about change.
- use your professional skills and personal talent.
- find out more about services and support available to people in your area
