DRIVE & support cancer patients

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland

Carer Professions
Providing cancer patients with door to door transport from their home to the hospital and taking them home again afterwards.

Could you be a Driver for Cancer Focus NI?

Do you want to make a difference to local cancer patients and their families?

Many patients find travelling to hospital for multiple appointments very time consuming, expensive and stressful if they have to rely on public transport.  As a volunteer driver you will be providing essential transport for cancer patients.

  • Do you enjoy meeting people, have good communication and organisational skills?
  • Are you 21 or over and have a full driving licence?
  • Have access to a comfortable roadworthy vehicle (with relevant documentation - insurance certificate and MOT certificate)?

If you do, we need you - get in touch!

Full training will be provided covering all aspects of the driving role.  Fuel expenses will be reimbursed as well as any other out of pocket expenses (in line with agreed guidelines).

This role entails an application process including Access NI police check and reference check.
