We are looking for a registered manager for our regulated service in the North Down & Ards area. We will need the successful candidate to assist in providing a high quality service to the people we support based on their needs as documented in plans and Livability values and standards, to assist in the management of a team within the unit; ensuring that safe, evidence based practice is employed at all times according to Livability Policies and Procedures and within The Regulation and Quality and Improvement Authority (RQIA), and other statutory regulators requirements and guidelines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all people attending the service including safeguarding of vulnerable adults (SOVA) and children (SOCA) among other duties.

Essential Criteria

A qualification that will enable the post holder to register with the RQIA as the Registered Manager such as one of the following qualifications:

- A professional Social Work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC), without council, or

- First Level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register, or

- Allied Health professions registered with the Health Profession Council

AND

A minimum of four years work experience in any health or social care setting with one or more of the service user groups supported by the service. At least two years of this experience must be in a relevant operational management capacity in a health and social care setting

OR

A level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults' Management) Wales and Northern Ireland and registered, or be eligible for registration or appointment, on the appropriate part of the NISCC register, without condition.

AND

- A minimum of five years practice experience in any Health and Social setting with one or more of the service user groups supported by the service which must include at least two years relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting.

*Any applicant not holding these qualifications must demonstrate an ability to achieve one of these qualifications within 12 months of appointment to enable them to register with the RQIA*

-An understanding of the social model of disability

-Undertaken care programme and planning

-Experience of rota management

-Driving licence and access to a vehicle
