Established in 1989, Network Personnel specialises in the delivery of back-to-work/employability initiatives. As a result of continued growth, they wish to appoint a suitably experienced/qualified Career Mentor for their Community Family Support Programme

The Community Family Support Programme (CFSP) is part funded through the Northern Ireland European Social Fund 2014-2020 and the Department for the Economy.

This is a fixed term post to 31st March 2022 (subject to annual funding review)

 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the daily operational co-ordination of the Network Personnel’s CFSP Reporting to the CFSP Operations Manager.

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct line management of a regional CFSP team (Antrim & Newtownabbey District council area) 
  • Delegation of workload, ensuring distribution of caseloads amongst the regional team, appointing appropriate key worker (Family Mentor/Career Mentor) depending on staff skillsets and priority of participants’ needs  
  • Compile monthly operational reports  
  • Advocacy, mentoring and motivating  Family Mentors, Career Mentor and Project Assistant  
  • Maintain a full and detailed understanding of ESF guidelines and ensure all staff comply with these 
  • Conduct frequent Quality/Compliance audits/observations  
  • Market & promote CFSP generating ongoing participant referrals 
  • Ensure that all documentation, MIS/records (compiled and updated Family Mentors, Career Mentor & Project Assistant) are of an excellent standard for inspections 
  • Report outcomes against performance targets to CFSP Operations manager  
  • Facilitate and chair team meetings and case review meetings 
  • Provide 1:1  line management support to all regional CFSP team members 
  • Provide cover for Family Mentors/Career Mentor/Project Assistant in their absence  
  • Attend and participate in external meetings, representing Network Personnel while demonstrating professionalism, core values and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Working in a confidential and professional manner, responding to sensitive issues that ensures family welfare and safety is of paramount importance and subject to safeguarding guidelines 
  • Be quality and target driven, ensuring all DfE/ESF and organisational targets, deadlines and standards are achieved and consistently achieve set individual objectives, targets and K.P.I.s 
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with relevant statutory, community and voluntary organisations) 
  • Maintain accurate records  
  • Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained through follow up contact with employers, clients and other stakeholders 
  • Understanding and promoting equality, diversity and rights of marginalised/minority groups 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of ‘Adults at Risk’ and the welfare of children, reporting issues as they arise 
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships within the CFSP Team, Network Personnel and other stakeholder groups 
  • Adhere to and uphold Network Personnel’s Code of Conduct, policies, procedures and values at all times  
  • Undertake regular, formal reviews with the line manager, reflecting on targets, performance and practice 
  • Any other related/reasonable duties as required by management and/or the business objectives.
