The Assistant Cook under instruction from the Catering Supervisor will be responsible for providing meals which are varied, nutritious and considers food preference and any special dietary needs. The Assistant Cook will work with and encourage the service users to take an active role in developing their life and social skills for independence.
Applicants must have a Catering Qualification (minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent) OR 1 years’ experience cooking in a catering setting.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate their understanding of the needs of the client group in relation to this role.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team, have good communication and supervisory skills and be highly motivated.
Access to use of a motor vehicle for business is desirable.
