Harness Awareness Training - L'Derry

Location: The Innovation Centre, Catalyst Inc., Bay Road, L'Derry, BT48 7TG

Time: 17:00 - 19:00

Delegates on this Harness Awareness course will first of all, learn how to identify and select the correct form of safety harness and lanyard. Another skill they will learn is to be able to inspect, maintain, monitor, fit and use them effectively. Therefore, they will be allowed to work safely in their role.

Harness Awareness Course Content

• Work at height Regulations
• Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
• Fall prevention, fall restraint, fall arrest
• Suitability and selection of required equipment
• Anchor points, running lines & inertia reels
• Safe work practices
• Inspection of equipment before use
• Correct procedure of harnesses adjustment
• Practical sessions
• Care and maintenance of equipment

Assessment

The tutor will monitor your skills throughout because there is no written assessment. Delegates will receive a Harness Awareness Certificate from Global Horizon Skills.
