Mencap is urging primary schools in Magherafelt, Derry~Londonderry, Belfast and Coleraine to get involved in a new supportive Key Stage 2 education programme called Super Me that it is rolling out in early 2015.

Mencap is looking for more inspiring men and women in the Carrickfergus, Newtownabbey, Larne and Omagh areas to volunteer for its Link Me project for older people with a learning disability.

Over 100 people from the learning disability charity Mencap will be joining the first Disability Pride carnival parade through Belfast city centre today (20 September), with Skyzdalimit, one of its local groups, performing live on stage at the City Hall.

With next year’s 50th anniversary of the hit movie ‘The Sound of Music’ on the horizon, Mencap is calling on all hikers, trekkers and mountain walkers to join the learning disability charity for its Four Peaks Challenge.
