Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI) is a cross community charity whose work is focused on serving the whole of our community across the Borough. We were established in 1987 by a group of local people concerned by the increasing levels of unemployment in the Borough at the time (a few of those original founding members are still on the Committee!)

Today we employ around 70 people delivering a range of innovative projects throughout the Borough and further afield.

We have spent almost £3m refurbishing the former Roe Valley Hospital which has been given a new lease of life as a multifunctional community based facility. The flagship project has been accepted as a model of good practice and has been visited by community groups from across the province. We rent out the majority of the complex and this income makes a significant contribution to our future sustainability.

We will continue to identify gaps in service provision and develop new projects to fill the gaps.
