Providing support for innocent victims and survivors of Troubles related violence.

J.I.V.T Ltd was formed in March 2009 for the purpose of supporting those who have been the victims of Troubles-related violence. The organisation seeks to relieve individual victim’s social disadvantage and conditions of poverty. The organisation also has a key role in bringing about healing within Northern Ireland through the advancement of good relations and education-based programmes.

In recent years the organisation has been involved in the following Projects:

  1. Developed an Educational DVD around the themes of Acknowledgement, recognition and Justice.
  2. Delivered Justice-themed presentations to a wide number of different audiences; Church groups, Victims groups, the Media etc.
  3. Run Conferences involving a broad range of stakeholders from across the community.
  4. Participation in International Conferences eg Tuesday’s Children and the ‘Project Common Bond Programme.’

Our organisation is not-for-profit, its’ ethos and remit is about improving the conditions of life for those who have been most traumatised by Troubles-related violence.

Through the Pathways to Justice Project, J.I.V.T Ltd are currently providing Advocacy and Representaiton - based support for those engaging with historical criminal cases.  Full details of this Project can be found at www.jivt.co.uk
