Home-Start is one of the UK's leading family support charities working in local communities for the last 40 years.  Hundreds of local Home-Starts support thousands of families through a network of trained parent volunteers.

Our  volunteers  offer emotional and practical support to families in their own homes. Support is confidential and non-judgemental, and Home-Start is there for any family that is struggling to cope. We support families for many reasons including; post natal depression, poverty, isolation, multiple births, illness & dissability and domestic abuse to name but a few. Our volunteers support families for however long is needed, or until the youngest child reaches five.

In Northern Ireland there are 22 local Home-Starts. Our 930 volunteers work with over 1,600 families, and almost 3,500 children.

What Home-Start does is make fragile families strong again.
