Employers For Childcare Vouchers 

Childcare Vouchers are a cost-saving employee benefit, available to all working parents throughout the UK. It is a Government scheme, implemented through the employer’s payroll.

Put simply, parents can swap part of their salary to contribute towards their childcare costs. Each parent could save over £900 per year because the amount they swap is deducted from their salary before tax and National Insurance is applied. The scheme is open to both mums and dads, potentially doubling your savings. The employer also saves money because the amount each parent swaps from their salary is exempt from employers’ NIC.

Childcare Vouchers are accepted on all forms of registered childcare, including day nurseries, childminders, holidays schemes, afterschool clubs and breakfast clubs. They are available for children up to the age of 15, or 16 if registered disabled.

Approved Home Childcare provides reliable, quality childcare in the security of the family’s own home. Parents only pay for the hours they use, with no retainers or holiday fees. With family purse strings becoming increasingly tightened, this offers a new affordable childcare choice for all families.

This service is the first of its kind and promises to change the face of childcare within Northern Ireland. The flexibility of this new, innovative service will be particularly beneficial for parents who work shift patterns, and for families with children with disabilities and/or special needs. Larger families will also benefit as parents pay by the hour, rather than per child.

We supply the necessary training to the childcarers to ensure that they meet the standards necessary to provide high quality childcare to our families. This new service has received the endorsement of the Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety.

Our vision is to help parents with dependent children to be able to get into work and stay in work.
