Benview Community Centre

Benview Community Centre is an excellent community resource run by a voluntary committee of dedicated people from the local community.  We are located in the heart of the disadvantaged area of  Ballysillan, North Belfast we welcome and encourage members of the community of all ages to get involved and work alongside us to design and deliver a range of services and activities to meet our community needs. Our aim is that the centre will help enhance  quality of life for local people by providing educational, recreational, health, well-being, social  and leisure opportunities. A place where people can meet, learn and socialize in a safe and friendly environment. Over the last 42 years the committee and staff have been committed to community development, encouraging participation and empowering members to play a more active role within their community. The current programme of activities within the centre would include; Parent & Toddlers, After school programme 3 afternoons per week,  Interagency Meetings, General Advice service, Monthly Tea dance, Women’s group, Senior citizen’s group, minimum of two Youth Drop-in nights per week and we also have a  Peer Education project S|O|L|V|E (Skills Of Life Via Education)which works with other youth & community groups and local Primary & Secondary schools designing, delivering and evaluating tailor made Health and Personal Development programmes.
