Diversity Challenges is seeking a suitably qualified individual(s) and/or organisation(s) with a proven track record in this area of work to provide transcription of digital audio interviews for PEACE III funded Storytelling Project

 

Invitation for Tenders for Transcription Service:

 

Introduction

 

 

 

Diversity Challenges has been awarded funding by PEACE III Programme managed for the Special EU Programmes Body by the Community Relations Council/Pobal consortium for project ‘Green and Blue Across the Thin Line’. The project runs from January 2013 to end November 2014.

 

As a result Diversity Challenges is seeking a suitably qualified individual(s) and/or organisation(s) with a proven track record in this area of work to provide transcription of digital audio interviews.  Details of the project plan can be found on the Diversity Challenges web page. www.green-and-blue.org This is a storytelling project involving former police officers and their families from N.I. and Republic of Ireland.

 

 

 

This work will be carried out on a consultancy basis for Diversity Challenges with the consultant being responsible for their own tax matters.

 

 

 

The skills required are

 

·      Transcription of digitally recorded audio file of interviews to word documents

 

·       Observe confidentiality of all material transcribed

 

·      Some interviews may be of a group but majority will be with interviewer and interviewee

 

·      It is anticipated that there will be 40 interviews of half hour duration during the life of the project

 

 

 

The contract will run from appointment to end November 2014.

 

 

 

Submission of Tenders

 

 

 

Interested parties should submit a tender setting out:

 

·      Availability to undertake the work and their experience and skills

 

·      Undertaking to observe confidentiality - please sign attached declaration Appendix1 and return with your tender.

 

·      Rate of charge either hourly rate or fee per interview transcribed

 

·      VAT status.

 

·      Please complete the attached Equal Opportunities Statement  Appendix 2  and return with your tender.

 

·      Contact details of two referees with knowledge of work in this area in the last two years.

 

·      Tenders from those based in RoI need to include a copy of up to date Tax Clearance Certificate.

 

 

 

 

 

Diversity Challenges does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation.
