General Handyman

Closing date is:

A practical person is required to help with small maintenance jobs at Our Head Office at Belvoir and our Belfast Window on Wildlife Visitor Centre

Are you a whizz with a drill and a dab hand with a paintbrush? Do you like to solve DIY challenges whilst saving money? If so we'd love to hear from you!
We require a handy person who would be interested in putting their DIY skills to the test at two of our Belfast based sites, RSPB Northern Ireland Headquarters and Belfast Window on Wildlife Reserve. We are looking someone who can offer practical support for minor building repairs from painting walls and doors to putting up shelving and notice boards. If you have the skills to help us, then we would love to hear from you!

This is an opportunity to use skills and be part of a friendly team. You will get to meet new people and learn more about your local RSPB sites and how they are managed for birds and other wildlife. By volunteering your time and skills, you could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB, helping us deliver to save nature!

You will need general handyman skills and the confidence to tackle tasks under your own initiative with support from a small team. The ability to volunteer during office hours is essential and a driving license would be useful.

Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary.  The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment.  Nature is amazing - help us keep it that way.  Your time and skills could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB and it would be great if you could join us.Can yo
