Big Wild Sleep Out - Event Team Member

Closing date is:
24 Jul 2017
Nature is in Trouble - Nature needs YOU If you are passionate about wildlife we have an exciting opportunity for you to help us save it. Did you know that hedgehogs have declined in numbers by 95% over the last 60 years. If that shocks you read on.

Do you want to be part of something Big
We are now in our fifth year of the Big Wild Sleepout and are looking to make 2017 the biggest and best year yet.
We want to bring people closer to nature and are offering a fun filled night of activities and overnight camping at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum on the 23rd July.
To build on last years success we need enthusiastic volunteers to be part of a team who will be involved in promoting  the event, organising the activities for the event and get involved in the actual running of the events on the night.

This role will suit someone who likes to work in a team. You will have the chance to do what you do best as we need a variety of different skills to deliver a top quality event.  It's also a great opportunity to make a real difference to the work of the RSPB by encouraging more people to attend and support, the event. As this is an overnight event you have the choice of being with us for a few hours at the start or to stay with us all evening.

You'll need to have the confidence to strike up conversations with strangers, a desire to help, an enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation, but most important of all, you'll need a friendly demeanour and a ready smile, coupled with boundless energy. Whatever your skills we can put them to use.

All team members will be expected to attend a short  briefing sessions prior to the events when appropriate training will be provided and expenses re-imbursed where necessary.  The RSPB relies on the support and generosity of volunteers to make a difference.
