Befriending Volunteers needed from Co Fermanagh and Co Tyrone

Closing date is:
24 May 2017
Could you offer 3 hours weekly to support families in your locality who have received a terminal diagnosis in their own homes: providing a listening ear, companionship, giving families and carers a break, practical support or simply going for coffee

The Marie Curie Helper service is provided by trained volunteers who offer one-to-one support to people with a terminal illness, completely free of charge. This support may continue for their carers and families after bereavement.  A Marie Curie Helper does not provide any nursing or medical care or advice.  Our Helper volunteers are provided with training and support to enable them to undertake their roles: to support families in your locality who have received a terminal diagnosis in their own homes,  providing a listening ear and companionship, giving families and carers a short break from their caring role, offering practical support or simply going out for a coffee.
