Diversity Challenges is seeking tenders from suitably qualified accountants to undertake the independent examination of our accounts. Diversity Challenges is a company limited by guarantee and a charity.

To assist culturally specific groups in integrating community relations principles and considerations within all aspects of their work.

 

Diversity Challenges is managed by a Board of Directors and the day to day work is undertaken by a Coordinator who is supported by a Finance Coordinator who oversees the finances. All payments are made by BACS.

 

The charity works on Peace and Reconciliation Projects mainly dealing with past conflict.

Our work is mainly in Ireland North and South with partnerships across Europe. Our funders have been a mixture of EU PEACE funding and a variety of trusts and foundations. Our accounting processes have to meet the requirements of our funders.

We have an agreed system of financial procedures, conflicts of interest procedures, fraud policies which meets the requirements of our funders and charity governance .

 

 

Requirements

We require an accountant to undertake the necessary review of our accounts on an annual basis for the next three financial years.

 

To produce a set of accounts for our annual meeting.

 

To provide Companies house with the necessary accounts for Company Law.

 

The accounts to meet the requirements of Charity law with the necessary SOFA.

 

To advise the Board and Coordinator, on accountancy issues that may arise from time to time.

Tenders to be received by the Coordinator by 4.00 pm Friday 21st February 2014. Email tenders will be accepted. No late tender will be considered.
