Tuesday 19/05 Big Lunch taster for you City Hall

Come to City Hall this Tuesday lunchtime 19th May - grab your packed lunch and bring your buddies!

Less and less of us take a proper lunch break so we've teamed up with the lovely folk in the new Belfast council to give you a taste for The Big Lunch

Bring your lunch, your pals and colleagues and join us for The Big Lunch on May 19 12 to 2pm

Enjoy live music in the Great Hall or try zorbing on the lawns, then recover with a free mini massage – you might need it!

You can also have a go at yoga and find out some healthy living tips, including easy ways to make your lunch box healthier and tastier, courtesy of Big Lunch ambassador and local nutritionist Jane Mc Clenaghan Vital nutrition
There will also be free fruit and water courtesy of ASDA and Halifax who support The Big Lunch idea and an opportunity to collect some seeds and begin growing you own veg!

This event is intended to give you a taste of some of the facilities and community intiatives geared toward health and well being, whilst providing you with a chance to chat about The Big Lunch, day for neighbours and consider taking part in your own neighbourhood this June.

If you cant make it, you can still go to www.thebiglunch.com and order your own free pack.

The Big Lunch is funded by Big Lottery to help inspire communities and neighbourhoods to come together in the simple act of sharing a meal. Through this neighbourhood networks will be strengthened, a greater sense of community cohesion will be created and people will be motivated to take more of an active role on their doorstep.

Joanne Mc Dowell irector, Big Lottery NI explains: 'The Big Lunch is firmly establishing itself as a simple way to bring people together who might otherwise not have had the chance to meet.'
