The Real Story

A new training and resource pack aimed at raising awareness about sexual exploitation and sexual health for young people aged 13+ was recently launched in the South Eastern Trust area.

'The Real Story' provides topics an short films to encourage discussion and help young people make informed jugements for themselves.

The pack was brought about after staff, working with young people within communities, identified a need for more information and awareness raising around the issues. It is the result of a collaboration between Barnardo's NI Safe Choices, South Eastern Health and Social Care Youth Health Advice Service and the Public Health Agency.

It will be available for use by professionals in the South Eastern Trust area working with young people who have a thorough knowledge of the isses and who have received specific training from Barnardo's on using the resource.
