Young people across Northern Ireland, aged 7-11, will have the chance to create their very own story aboutVictoria Square’s Domer the Dinosaur, star of its monthly Kids Club, as part of a new project facilitated by Cinemagic and supported by Arts & Business Northern Ireland.

On Saturday 29th October and Saturday 26th November, young people will devise, design and produce a story quilt with Domer the Dinosaur as the central character. From11am-2pm on each day, participants will have fun and learn new skills, under the direction of artist Jolie Dennison, as they compile a short story about their ideal day with Domer. This will be followed by devising a visual story by drawing and painting their ideas onto a canvas. The final creations will be exhibited inVictoria Square and the story will also be digitally documented.

Joan Burney Keatings, Cinemagic Chief Executive said “Cinemagic is looking forward to working withVictoria Square in the lead up to and during our festival activity in November. There are so many talented young people acrossNorthern Ireland and this workshop is a great opportunity for them to get involved in the arts.
