Consumer Council Shortlisted in UK Complaints Handling Awards 2017

The Consumer Council has been named as a finalist in the UK Complaints Handling Awards 2017, which recognise and reward outstanding achievement in complaint handling.

The Consumer Council is a finalist in the pro-active complaints handling category along with United Utilities, FM Outsource, Brewdog Plc, yourgolftravel.com and Homes in Sedgemoor. This category looks at how an organisation has tried to improve customer experience and how we anticipate consumers’ current and future needs.

John French, Chief Executive of the Consumer Council said, "We are delighted to have been included as a finalist in the UK Complaint Handling Awards 2017. Through our complaints handling role last year we dealt with 4,651 consumers and returned £897,000 back to consumers in Northern Ireland. It is very rewarding to see our work being recognised at a UK level. We look forward to the final in February and presenting our achievements to the judges."

John concluded "We help consumers who have issue in regards to energy, transport, post, and water, and have been unable to resolve this with their supplier. Consumers who would like our support should contact us on 0800 121 6022 or via our website www.consumercouncil.org.uk
