Comic Relief announces special grants for Greater Belfast area - closing soon

Comic Relief has just announced two special grants for community based projects or services located in the Greater Belfast area. Closing date of 13 October 2011.

These grants will be managed by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland. Each grant will be up £30,000 for a two year project and will be paid in two instalments in 2011 and 2012.

This is an opportunity to identify and showcase two excellent organisations in Belfast that are bringing about positive and lasting change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people. The grant recipients should be able to use these large two year grants to great effect.

Submissions should be made to the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland on the special large grants proposal form attached (digital format available). Short-listing will take place locally but Comic Relief will select the winning project for the Northern Ireland grant awards.

The deadline for submission of project proposals is 1.00pm on Thursday 13 October 2011.

The guidelines provided by Comic Relief and further details on the application process can be found on the FundraisingNI website at: www.fundraisingni.org/grant-making/
