BCM present a Harvest Thanksgiving service with a difference.

Belfast Central Mission’s (BCM) Grosvenor Hall congregation held a Harvest Thanksgiving service with a difference this year.

Belfast Central Mission’s (BCM) Grosvenor Hall congregation held a Harvest Thanksgiving  service with a difference this year.  The “Thanksgiving for the Produce of our Labour” service looked at ship building, in particular the Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast.

A strange focus for a Harvest Service, you may think.  However, for city-centre dwellers it was perhaps more relevant than focusing on farming.  Both industries have been and still remain important to the people of N. Ireland and both produce results from the labour of the men and women involved.  The congregation gave thanks for God’s bounty through both farming and shipbuilding.

BCM work across the community supporting those who need it most.
