.Encourage children and young people to avail of opportunities through Afterschools, peer leadership, mentoring, volunteering, recreational, educational, training and employment programmes.

To work in conjunction with the Youth Co-ordinator and other key workers to plan, evaluate and develop a specific programme of activities at an appropriate level to meet the needs of all the children using the afterschool and youth club, with emphasis on child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and respect for cultural diversity.
To work in conjunction with the Youth Co-ordinator to plan, record, monitor, evaluate and develop specific programmes of activities to meet the identified needs of children and young people using the Youth facility.
To assist the development of programmes that tackle low confidence, self-esteem and work in conjunction with Youth Team.
To promote the youth volunteer programme in relation to training needs and personal development programme for volunteers.
To assist young people who currently do not access services work with them to identify needs.
