Youth and Schools Manager (12 months maternity cover)

Responsible for developing, managing and advising on services for children and yound people in line with corporate strategy. A focus of this work is to manage humanitarian educaiton and first aid learning programmes.

 Salary: £21,840                  Hours: 35 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth & Schools Manager to join our team in Belfast on a fixed term basis.  This role carries significant responsibility for developing, managing, and advising on services for children and young people in line with the corporate strategy.  A key focus of this work is to manage humanitarian education and first aid learning programmes, which increase young people’s resilience.  These programmes are delivered by volunteers and therefore the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers are also an essential component of this post.

The successful candidate will hold either a recognised qualification in education/youth work or have equivalent by experience.  Furthermore, you will have experience of working with young people in a variety of settings, and possess good organisational and IT skills.  Due to the partnership working involved strong relationship building skills are vital as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
