Young Carers Support Worker

Crossroads are recruiting for a Young Carers Support Worker to collect Young Carers (young persons aged between 5yrs – 18yrs) from their homes and take them to arranged social outings, to return the young carer’s home after their social outing has finished and to make sure all activities are safe and enjoyable.

The salary for this position is £7.50 per hour and a mileage allowance is paid at 25p per mile.

Hours of work is 6-9 hours per month (average of 2 evenings per month).

Activities will be centred in your local area with reasonable training involved. 

We are recruiting in the following areas:

- Craigavon

- Saintfield and Killyleagh 

Essential Criteria:

- 18+ due to working with children.

- Full driving licence and access to personal transport with business use insurance cover.

- Willingness to undertake an Access NI enhanced disclosure check and attend Child Protection training.
